- Ensoniq MR Sound / Sound Bank
- -------------------------------------------
-
- * Sound - load a single Sound
- * Sound Bank - load 128 RAM Sounds
- * Sound Bank (ROM)
- - load patches from an MR bank
-
- * The Sound Bank (ROM) driver is not
- part of the group but can be used to load
- sounds from any bank in the MR. Just
- set the driver's PCH# to the bank you
- wish to load and run the driver. For
- example:
- 4 = ROM Bank 4
- 5 = ROM Bank 5
- 8 = GM Bank 8
- 9 = GM Drum Bank 9
- etc...
- This driver will audition but it will not
- send patches as a bank. In order to do
- this, the patches must be copied into
- a standard Sound Bank
-
- * Ensure SysX is enabled
- - Press the System button
- - Rotate the Parameter knob until
- "SysEx Recv" is displayed. Ensure it is
- set "On"
-
- * Set the Comm Channel so that it is one
- larger than the SysX Device ID
- - Press the System button
- - rotate the Parameter know until
- "SysEx Device ID" is displayed.
- - Set the Comm Ch so that is is one larger
- - eg. If the ID = 000, set the Comm Ch
- to "1" in the program
-
- * When a bank is loaded from the MR,
- not all of the patches may be "defined"
- or have patch data stored in them. If a
- patch is not defined, it will not be
- auditioned
-
- Special: Both Drum data and Sound data
- are stored in the same bank however,
- drums store their names in a different
- location. As a result, drum patch names
- will not display properly in a bank and
- should only edited from within the drum
- editor, not from the Sound Bank.
-
- Note: Performances and Performance
- Banks are only found in the MR-Rack. For
- the MR61 and MR76, Performance data is
- stored with each sequence and the is no
- SysX support for sequence dumps
